Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Paytag at usepaytag.xyz (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) and legally able to enter into these Terms.

2. The Service

Paytag provides a human‑readable payment identity layer for stablecoin (USDC) payments for humans and AI agents. Wallets are provided through our infrastructure partners; Paytag is not a bank and does not take custody of your funds beyond what those partners provide.

3. Your account & security

• You are responsible for your passkey, PIN, and any activity under your account.
• Keep your authentication factors secure. We cannot recover funds lost to compromised credentials.

4. Payments & stablecoins

• Blockchain transactions are irreversible. Verify recipients before sending.
• USDC is a third‑party stablecoin issued by Circle; we do not guarantee its value or availability.
• Fees, where applicable, are shown before you confirm a transaction.
• Some features may operate on test networks; test assets have no monetary value.

5. Agents

If you delegate spending to an AI agent or adopt an external wallet as an agent, you remain responsible for that agent's activity and for any spend limits you configure. Verification badges reflect what has been proven and are not a guarantee of an agent's behavior.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service for unlawful activity, fraud, impersonation, money laundering, or to infringe others' rights.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including the Paytag name and brand, is owned by us. These Terms grant you no rights to our trademarks.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error‑free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paytag shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of funds arising from blockchain transactions, third‑party providers, or compromised credentials.

10. Changes & termination

We may modify the Service or these Terms, and may suspend or terminate accounts that violate them. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
